So I was checking prices online for a playstation 1 memory card that I needed for my PS1. I found this cheap little guy and read the reviews and saw it was about a 50/50 chance if I bought one that it would work. I notice when reading the reviews apparently this memory card works on SLIM ps2′s. Not regular ps2. Well I have a ps1, the original ps1 and I figured this shouldn’t be a problem. I bought the card and waited 2 days. The first week It saved my game data on one of my old ps1 games. Once I tried all my other games it wouldn’t save. The other thing that confuses me is I still can’t delete the old data off it because it never appears on the main screen menu when I know its there. I wouldn’t recommend this unless you own a slim ps2 cause I guess thats the only system it works good on. Other then that buy a SONY PLAYSTATION MEMORY CARD!!!!!!

After I bought Final Fantasy VIII, I learned I needed a ps1 memory card to save, so I bought this due to the low price. I am using a ps2 slim, so I don’t know if the version makes a difference. After reaching the first save point, I was excited to see that I could access the card, but after formatting the card, it couldn’t save. I would definitely recommend getting an official Sony Memory Card over this if you wish to save your game. Have a nice day! =)

I was reading everyone’s reviews on this memory card and yeah they’re right it doesn’t work on a ps2 however it IS a ps1 memory card and luckily I still have a PS1 and it works perfectly fine for it so all in all I cant complain because the memory card served it’s exact purpose which is storing memory on a playstation 1

Yes, this memory card for the playstation 1 is cheap in price, but it is not, I repeat: NOT worth the money. I purchased this card, it worked for about a month, and then it broke. Was the memory card messed up, chipped, broken, or even cracked? No, it wasn’t, and yet my PS2 can’t detect this card. My PS2 can detect both PS1 and PS2 cards, and it can still detect my memory card for the PS2, but the PS1 memory card just didn’t show up. I strongly recommend you shell out the extra dollars and get a card that has more durability than this one. You will be greatful later on when you don’t lose your progress after a month’s worth of use.
