I received this Indiana Jones II game and I was very dissapointed. My son wanted an action packed game and this is not an action packed game. My son is 8. He does not like this game. He doesn’t like the fact that you don’t get to punch.

Subject says it all. I love it and in fact, feel totally comfortable calling it the best LEGO game so far. Retelling the content from the origional 3 movies means everything is fresh and new and has that great LEGO charm and humor. The split screen is so good, I see others implementing the feature the same way. It is totally seamless and really allows for the freedom to explore the way both people want to. And the editor? Creating my own levels is def one of my favorite parts. For me games these days are all about replayability. I’m not spending $50 to play a game for a day. All the new levels plus the editor means there is SO MUCH CONTENT! You are absolutley entitled to your opinion (heck, this is the Internet), however I feel you are really off base with your comments. Best LEGO game to date.

Grandson wanted this game – he lost interest quickly – not as challenging as he thought.

I purchased this game for my 7 and 9 year old kids because they are huge fans of all the Lego Wii games. I was worried because some of the reviews were not so great, but I bought it anyway and my kids love it. I specifically asked them if it was anything like the first one and the both said “no way, it is completely different. ” They are having a great time with it and I think it is because they are not comparing it to the first adventure – they are simply judging it on its own merits.

Let me first say that we have played every “lego” game for the Wii. My 4 and 6 year olds love to play them. This game still intrigues my 4 year old, but my 6 year old refuses to play because it is “boring. ” I have to agree to a point. The bad news is that the game play lacks any kind of cohesiveness and seems to be kind of arbitrary in its play and to complete it. There are way to many racing quests, and it is often a guess as to where you have to drive the vehicle/planes, etc. They are not difficult, per se, just more of an annoyance. Some level challenges are misleading because it will say you need a character when you do not: e. g. you need a character with explosives, and you really a character with a bazooka. This is annoying when you have not opened every character and think there is one with explosives. This is also a very buggy game and freezes and characters and vehicles often get “stuck” or frozen and cannot be used, making you restart and lose whatever you have done. The entire game just doesn’t feel like it was put together well, or with any kind of thought to make it a smooth transition. This is mostly a game of destroy as many lego things as possible and hope you find it all, then follow the arrows into the caves, etc. , and solve the puzzles and then go back in because some of them have second quests (it’s just a guess which one to go into as some turn colors and some do not). That is pretty bad news. and the only real reason I gave it two stars instead of one was because of the split screen. This is a great idea and allows the characters to go off on their own, and when you have young children playing, it is useful, as my youngest just like to drive the vehicles around and around until I find somethine interesting or unlock/open a quest. If I had it to do over, I do not think I would buy this, even if it went on sale (it would have to be really cheap). It just doesn’t have the fun of any of the other games, nor does it have the challenges. It’s too bad, because there certainly was a lot of potential. . . . final word, Pass and hope that the Lego Harry Potter is better (due out in March I think).
