A project I made last month as a part of my M.Sc. thesis about motion control. Libraries used: OpenGL, SPE, OpenCV, CL-Eye, HID. Devices used: Playstation Eye and Sixaxis. Thesis inspired by Nintendo Wii MotionPlus, Sixense TrueMotion, Playstation Move, and Microsoft Natal. Music: Full On The Mouth – People Mover Some models / textures are taken from free libraries.

    nice ideas and execution (reminds me on FreeTrack + CamSpace.com combined + more content)…
    add some facetracking sourceforge /projects/facetracknoir/files/
    head tracking for depth effect watch?v=Jd3-eiid-Uw
    improved with stereo&3D watch?v=5Bfvu7JWAZY
    mixed with OpenCL (e.g. Bullet physics) it might lead to some awesome fun games
    keep up the nice work and one day You might scan where my eyes look (like binoculars laser retina scan)

  4. GazVonhammer says:

  15. pezus says:

    Seriously…did you do this all by yourself? That was amazing! Nice job!

  16. Oni3298 says:

    Holy crap, that was amazing. Even though it was all just a glorified tech demo, lots of amazing ideas for games, and you essentially proved they could be done, and done well. Games like escape the room games, but with incredible interactivity would be great. I also particularly enjoyed the katana demo…that was badass.

  17. TREY4LIFE1000 says:

    just look at that… u have some talent man keep it up………can u just think of the grazy posibilities with Playstation move cant wait for some real good game

  18. blade85 says:

    That is impressive work!

  19. prospineshank says:

    @bladestep for most games sure. but this isn’t most games. i think the gap is about mario going from 2D to 3D on gamecube

  20. suzukirg125f says:

    great work, well done. and also funny :D

  21. iRanotherguy says:

    really impressive. this is is the only kind of motion control integration that excites me in games.

  22. fartybumholes says:

    PlayStation Move has the best combination of technologies. It’s reliable, accurate, has rumble and buttons.

    Natal is unreliable, imprecise, can’t track subtle movements like twisting your wrist, has no rumble or buttons.

  23. Mounce2 says:

    Get hired by Sony, you put Microsoft and Natal to shame QUITE easily..

  24. comedypros says:

    @TheVengefulJedi

    hate being a fanboy here but “everypart of your body” was so last gen

  25. bladestep says:

    @prospineshank

    umm were gamers how long does it really take us to figure out the mechanics of a game? to nail the controls? 10 mins?….
