Actually, if you’re a bit tech savvy and own a PDA or a Smartphone you can google FPSECE, the PSX emulator for Windows Mobile and play this game on the go!
I did the same with Front Mission 3, this genre just begs for being portable.

You should try the Disgaea franchise and spinoffs, if you like Vandal Hearts you’ll most probably like those. They are by far the best tactical RPG-s I’ve played. ;)

@kidcloneinteractive if you like tactical rpgs you should try final fantasy tactics(which happens to be my favorite game) for the ps1 psp of ps3(you would have to download it from the playstation store) , or you could emulate it like i did and play on the comp.

there are final fantasy tactics games for the gba and DS, but the ones for the play stations have better plot and gameplay :D although all of them are good

  22. thunderedblade says:

@twomptable wait, isnt this the first?

That system where you receive a bonus for surrounding your enemies is something very familiar at the Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume, which is called “Active Formation System.”

Btw Mark, great review as always, and i must say: SRPGs must be tough to be good, i realy enjoy thinking before act, not just attack to kill.

  25. NeCacaluXuxultic says:

you can just emulate it for your PSP!. That’s what I do….I use the originl disk and turn it into some type of ISO or CSO and then put in on my memory card. Funny thing is that I legally own the game (unlike most people)
