here is a castlevania game that should be in every castlevania fans collection. It’s “Akumajou Dracula: Castlevania Chronicle” for the Playstation. The original game was made for the Sharp x68000 pc and due to it’s rarity, this makes a great exact copy of the game. This disk contains the playstation poorted version as well as the original. It has save modes to save your progress as well as a great soundtrack. This castlevania combines several aspects of ideas, characters, music, and game play from almost all of the castlevania series. Although very challenging I totally recommend this game.

If i remember rightly the X68000 version is not on the US or PAL versions unfortunatly, due to licensing issues. So no lovely music. :(

psx :) omg… so much nostalgia… started with the nes and snes but did not bother to play them that much. With the psx I started to game hardcore :P

  8. I got this off the Playstation network, I didn’t know what it was aside from it being a Castlevania game, kinda disappointed me at first that it was a remake of the first game, its grown on me since.

Castlevania IV would have to be the best simply because of all the directions you can hit. However this game still looks amazing.

Holy crap. I hadn’t heard the start up sound of the PS1 for like ten years. Got goose bumps all over my arms from hearing it.

the graphics are really nice for a game over 20 years old! colors are awesome too. love the shading and the parallax in the background. there are enemies outside the castle! nice effect :D

50 bucks in Japanese still sounds like a lot. I had the 64 instead of the PS1 and there arent many really rare titles in the 64 library. The PS1 games however that are good can also be rare and I’m forced to spend loads of money trying to pick up all these classics when I could have bought them earlier with more ease.
I like my 64, but I think I made the wrong purchase back in 1996.

Awesome it is like a enhanced remake but better and tougher A.I. added soundtrack and newer levels. Appreciate the new video.

Dude that’s awesome. Never heard of this one before. Then again it was only on a Sharp PC in Japan and I assume the PS port is only in Japan too?

Holy crap….the sound on this game is AWESOME!!! I don’t think any other Castlevania game has such awesome sound (the music is great, the sound effects are great as well, and so are the graphics!)
